Outside Studies Loaded From CD into PACS as Needed

Exams are loaded as needed for comparison to a current (similar) study or at the specific request of the provider.
Resources to do this are scarce and of course the rights needed to import are limited to a few individuals.
The most frustrating occurrence when importing exams off a disc is when you are committed to load an exam to one's PACS and find out the disc is non-DICOM compliant and no matter how hard you try, all efforts are futile.
