A 14 day limit for images on a CD to be stored in PACS

When requested by physician (only when requested though) I will import a study onto the PACS in which it is stored for 14 days. After 14 days, I go back and delete the images from the PACS.

We are following our previous policy that we had with film...we did not permanently store copies of xray film in our jackets (mainly due to space restriction) we gave the copies back to the physician or the patient. In the PACS environment...you pay for that storage as well..so we stand by the same policy.
