DICOM Training - What you need to survive the day!DICOM Training is important for the PACS Administrator as DICOM is what makes PACS work. The problem? DICOM is an expansive world. It takes much patience to learn. A frequent question from the new PACS Administrators is where can I learn DICOM and what do I need to know? Well, you need to know all of it but there are some parts that are critical for your daily survival as a PACS Administrator. The parts that we will focus on through the first few pages of my DICOM lessons include the following: Introduction to the DICOM Standard and its critical pieces, The DICOM Conformance Statement, and Basic DICOM troubleshooting aka "My scanner wont send to PACS!!" Later on, we'll cover deeper parts of the DICOM standard and how they relate to your daily work.
